like a kid in a candy store!!!

okay so i got a shopping cart on wheels from a freecycler in my area. i am so happy  not to have to use the stroller anymore when i go to the grocery!!!  a few weeks ago when i went i was pushing the stroller around and i had a stack of meat sitting in the seat of it. a gentelman walking by commented on how well behaved my child was...hahaha. i made a joke back  about it being my most well behaved child and we parted company. but that gave me an evil idea. so i prodeeded to walk around the store for the next 5 minutes or so scolding my child for trying to jump out of the deat, making too much noise, begging for things, threatening time out. it was pretty fun to watch peoples faces when they saw it was a stack of meat i was talking to. and i was actually able to keep a straight face like i really believed it was my child in the seat. so the store manager (whom i have come to be aquainted with since i am in there so often) came to find me. she didn't know it was me till she found me...she just went looking for the woman talking to her meat. she asked me to please quit harrassing the customers, people were worried about the crazy woman...the whole time she had a smirk on her face and had a hard time not laughing. so anyway...i went to the store last night and got a little happy with my grocery shopping. when i pushed the cart out front and loaded my little shopping cart i had way too much to fit in it. and there was no way i was gonna be able to push it and carry the 4 bags i had left over!!!! so the store manager came outside to find the guy pushing the carts and saw the pickle i had gotten myself into. she was pretty amused with my situation and said that if i needed a ride home she would take a break and give me a ride. was my face red!!! i can talk to my groceries with no problem...but got embarrassed by my failure to pay attention to my purchasing. i told her it was their fault. if they weren't having a grand re-opening and offering such good prices on things that were large i would have had room for the other stuff!!! so i decided from now on when i get something new i will wait at least a week before i use it, then maybe i won't go overboard!!! so i went home and put my groceries away and opened up the boxes that had been delivered from avon that day. oh yea!!! i remember now...i got new slip flops from avon cause i had a little money to spend and they were 2 pairs for 11.99...so i got them out of the package and decided that wearing them around the house for a bit wouldn't really be breaking my new rule. needless to say much like with the shoppong cart i got a little happy and i now have a blister the size of texas between my toes from not wearing flops in so long...good followingyour own new rule jenn!!!!!

my tooth is killing me!!!

omg!!! my teeth are bad...they have been for years now. at last estimate i had about $5,000 dollars worth of work to make my mouth look and feel presentable!!! since then i have had a few teeth pulled in emergency procedures so i hope that has taken the estimate down. one of my teeth lost a big peice 2 days ago. it hurts!!! it isn't too bad unless i eat...go figure!!!! so i will be  on the computer this evening looking up resources in my and as if that isn't bad enough my carpel tunnel is acting up real bad in my right hand...the predominant one...so i have been relying almost solely on my left hand...when it rains it pours right!!! speaking of rain...we had a great thunderstorm last night...i didn't know it was supposed to rain!!! so we are in a one bedroom right now. the 2 older kids have the bedroom and me and my husband sleep on a fouton in the living room...well it doesn't fold anymore so we call it a bed now...and the baby's bassinett is out here. so the kids were afraid of the thunderstorm and slept out here on the couch...it was the best night of sleep any of us have had in a while!!! the kids layed down quietly at a decent hour and went right to sleep!!! so i think from now on once a month we are gonna have a "sleep out" as i termed it. then at lease one night a month we will all get good sleep!!! i will not however make it a habbit...no more than once a month. i don't want them gettting used to it...

Aidpage group discussing "Juvenile Delinquency Prevention"...

you know i never thought you would hear these words come out of my mouth but here goes...when i was a kid...yea i sound like my parents i know but...things were different back then. remember when a fist fight was between two people? it was a one on one event that resulted in one victor and one loser. when i was in high school i was a smoker, in this story i mean cigarette smoker. before school all of us who smoked would go across the street from the school for one or two last smokes before classes started for the day, and before the buses pulled out we would go over for one more. one afternoon before the buses left there was a fight on our side of the street. a few new kids were over there that day so we all knew something was gonna go down before it happened. what i saw that day brought me to tears, and changed out little smoker world permanently. one of the new kids came across the street and was accosted by two of the other ones. it was two on one...which was hard enough to see happening. i was always taught to defend myself when need be, don't instigate a fight as that is the smaller man(or woman), and when the one i am fighting is no longer able to defend him/herself to walk away. in my eyes only the coward kicks a man when he's down. so the one who was accosted hit the ground, he fought a good fight but he was outmanned. they continued to pummel him after he hit the ground!!! we were all shocked! one of them pulled his foot back and gave him a few good kicks to the ribs. i don't know if it was a miscalculation or deliberat but the findal kick landed right on the kids temple!!! it was the hardest kick, and it sent the kid into seizures!!!it all happened so fast that just as this kick was being delt the administrators came running across the street. the other two took off before the man could get there, but he saw them and knew who they were. now they wouldn't even bother kicking...they would just pull out a gun!!!  my father taught us to defend ourselves like i said earlier, don't instigate and walk away when your opponent goes down. i don't condone fighting by any means, my kids will be raised with the rules my father raised me with, but what ever happened to fighting like a man?

first day babysitting!!!!!

i started a new babysitting job yesterday!!!!! it is for two girls ages 5 and 3. so now i will be spending my days with a 5 y.o, 4 y.o, 3 y.o, 2 y.o and 2 month old!!!! omg!!! what was i thinking!!!! yesterday went pretty well though. the girls are very polite and well behaved, maybe it will rub off on my son...hahaha. and i got me a new avon customer. we will be doing a fundraiser together. she is going to be in the susan g. komen 3 day. i have a close friend just recently passed after a not so long battle with breast cancer. she unfortunatley didn't know she had it until it was too late, and she will be greatly missed! so being able to do a fundraiser in her memory is something i never could have dreamed of!! so do know that i will be posting on here in a few months to advertise the fundraiser and see if anyone would like to contribute to a good cause. after all we all have mothers, sisters, friends...it could be you in my shoes one day...anyway i just wanted to share my new job. it's not much moneybut it is much more than $0!!!!!!

DMV on Saturday!!!!

I am not sure what i was thinking going to dmv on a saturday. maybe if i had gone earlier it wouldn't have been so bad. but i left my house at 10:15 in the morning, walked for 35 minutes to get there and the first thing i see is a line wrapped around the building. so after walking for 35 minutes i stood in line for 40. all i needed to do was turn in plates. so then i sat and waited for 20 minutes to hand the plates to the clerk and answer 2 questions. what a rip!!!

A plea for help or prayers

i am not sure how involved he is with you attempting to get him some assistance, but there is a web page  called microgiving that is almost like your own personal fundraiser. it is www.microgiving.com. they will request proof of job status, medical bills...etc. to verify you. i have no paper trail for my financail issues, they have just slowly snuck up on me. it didn't work for me needless to say, but maybe bacuase he has a paper trail to prove his hardship it will work to help him. sorry i couldn't have done more than suggest this site. please tell him he is in my prayers...he has served his community for 24 years...maybe they can help him. you should try to locate an avon rep. in your area and inquire about a fundraiser. you could solicite the public, tell them about this fallen leader/hero...ask the public for help...if you have any questions about this please feel free to ask me as i usually can come up with some good ideas...

have you ever heard of an american cockroach????!!!!!

okay so up until a few months ago when we lived in a house with my brother who does pest control i didn't even know there were different types of cockroaches. i assumed a cockroach was a cockroach...i know that is naive but i did. there are german, brown banded, american... who woulda thought!!! well the first two are the ones you commonly find in a residential setting, the american is an outdoor species. i have come to decide that they are an aoutdoor species becasue they can't fit through the same small cracks that the others can. these things are huge in the roach world!!! i was cooking dinner the other night and one ran across my foot. i screamed when i saw it and my husband thought i was making it up when i told him why i screamed after i could breathe again. so yesterday while i was cooking breakfast for the kids i saw it again!!! so i grabbed a glass to catch it. this is not something that someone with a fear of insects should ever do!!! numerous times it switched running direction and was headed right for me...so i did what anyone with this phobia would do...i hyperventilated!!!!! it was coming at me and i was having to get way too close with that glass. so i switched to a bigger alternative...a glass mixing bowl. it ran from the kitchen to the living room and down the hallway. them things are fast!!!! i caught him though, and now my husband wouldn't think i was crazy!!!! well this was at 7:00 in the morning, he doesn't get home until around 5:00 pm. i slid the bowl into the hall closet and closed the door. i debated just getting rid of it, but that would require lifting the bowl and trying to get it without touching it. yea right!!! so all day it sat in the closet under the bowl...and all day i knew it. i spent the whole day hoping it was still under the bowl!!! every hour or so i checked. what did i plan on doing if it wasn't? i may never know as it was always there...and i knew it. it was in the house plotting it's revenge on me...all day!!!! well by the time my husband came home the roach was pretty docile from being in there in the dark all day. so he had no problem lifting the bowl and flushing it down the commode. so he still ended up thinking i was crazy for the description of running around to catch it. so at 4:30 this morning right before he left for work he decided to be funny...i didn't think he was so funny!!! he picked up something (i will never know what) and set it on me laying in the bed. then he proceeded to calmly but with awestruck tone say..." is that another one?" as i opened my eyes to see what he was talking about i realised what he was asking...just as i spied the dark shape on my leg!!!! i still haven't properly regained my composure...but i am breathing steadier now. so now it is me who will spend all day plotting my revenge...any ideas?????

feeling very optomistic...and i have issues!!!!

is it half full or half empty? when you ask me i will answer half full. i think keeping a positive attitude is a good virtue to have. why walk around acting like the world is coming to an end when we would never get that lucky!!! hahaha...just kidding. think about how many times you are walking down a busy street, or walking around a store. what do you do that alot of people don't realise they are doing or won't admit they are doing? you look at people and pass judgement on them by the way they look...so how do you look? how do people view you when they see you? people usually tend to think i have mental problems. seriously, i have asked friends of mine to tell me their first memory and thoughts about me. most of them will tell you that i was normally grinning like the cheshire cat or dancing around...or a combination of both. i still do it to this day, which surprises those friends who have known me since high school. my favorite part of the ellen degeneres show is...well when she gives stuff away to the entire audience. so i guess it would be my second favorite part...when she dances her way through the audience. i am very much like that. most of the time though i am dancing to the music in my head, which is why people think i have issues!!! okay so i have issues...i'll admit it...lol. at least they are positive issues!!!!

i am surprised to see nothing in this discussion. i don't know about any of the other survivors out there, but i still live with the remenants of my abuse everyday of my life. it is a part of me that i cannot shake. i am not sure i want to though...it taught me alot about who i was and who i wasn't...

 in response to Rosie327...

OMG!!!! i love you even if you never buy from me...but that would be nice...lol. sometimes i wonder if i will make it. it is so hard to get any local advertising done with a 4 y.o, 2 y.o and 2 month old. i have to take a bus later to go pay the phone bill and i am gonna take my avon toolbox with me and get some advertising done. it is only a 10 minute bus ride so if i get some customers from it then it is still worth it. and i plan on leaving a few books on the buses when i get off too. i have been posting on free ad websites...but as soon as i get some real money coming in i want to post some advertising in local papers...i think that will bring in some good business. i am hoping to be able to buy some ink and paper for my printer soon so i can print more fliers and stuff, and i would like to buy brochures like i used to so i can toss without worry...i am determined to make this work...and once i get an idea get out of myb way...hahaha...

okay so i slept for 3 hours last night!! but i got alot accomplished!!! i sent out 4 email regarding avon fundraisers and posted 2 new classified ads!!! i did avon in the past and was unsuccesful...so my husband doesn't hold high hopes for this time. he dosen't understand that i got very little advertising done last time because he worked out of town and i had 2 kids and a full time job. so i am out to prove him wrong and succeed at the same time!!! whatcha say...who wants to help me do both and buy avon from me?!
